Speaker Bio

Jessica Bednarz is the Associate Director of Innovation & the JEP at The Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF). Jessica is responsible for maintaining a culture of innovation at the CBF and directing special projects to advance innovation in the practice of law. Examples include staffing the CBA/CBF Task Force on the Sustainable Practice of Law & Innovation, creating practice resources such as the Pricing and Limited Scope Representation Toolkits, and helping other legal communities develop legal incubator programs.

Jessica is also responsible for leading and overseeing all activities of the Justice Entrepreneurs Project (JEP), an incubator empowering lawyers to lead socially conscious law practices and innovative businesses that offer valuable, cost-effective legal services and products to consumers of all incomes.

Jessica is the Co-Founder of On Purpose Legal (OPL), which teaches legal professionals how to develop modern practices that provide value to legal consumers while supporting their well-being.

Jessica earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law and her business degree from Indiana University.
